We have just arrived back from the most amazing, mind blowing trip to Iceland. My camera and computer are full of photos, my note book is full of recipe ideas and our coffee table is full of lumps of lava - every pocket seems to produce a piece - you just can't help picking it up!

Last night I started to try and sort out all our pictures - here are just a few to give you a hint of what our trip was like.....

One of the fjords in Westfjord - North Western Iceland- we drove all along this coastal road, climbing up steep winding roads to the top of the mountains and then back down to sea level..... a long and exhilarating drive....

Looking into a glacier - we walked up to this glacier on the south west of Iceland. The sun was out that day and in the quiet of the glacial valley all you could hear was the gentle drip of ice melting. A very calming and magical place to visit - it was so difficult to walk away.....

The bubbling mud's of Reykjanesfolkvangur - the sounds of bubbling/plopping mud, the heat, steam and smells - I will never, ever forget.

And Gullfoss - words can not describe the immense power of these falls.

So as you can probably tell I was blown away by Iceland

When I manage to collect my thoughts, processed all I have photographed and written I will tell you a bit more about it.

Have a great day
Love Lizx
