A Surplus of Satsumas

Ok, hands up those of you who still have bowls of satsumas, clementines, maybe a few tangerines or any other small oranges around the house..... I'm sure I'm not the only one who buys bags of these little guys over the Christmas holidays and now have enough of them to see me through the New Year and beyond...........way, way beyond ........ they are going to be part of my lunches for weeks.......

However, because I don't want that to happen and I don't want them to go to waste, I have been looking up some recipes so I can turn them into something.....

Here are a few ideas I might be trying this week .........

 Marinade

 stirfry

Sticking with the pork/orange combination - how about a stirfry.........

 truffles

Or maybe something sweet.
These truffles will tempt even those who have eaten too much these last few weeks.

 marmalade

If you have eaten your fill of oranges and can't face another one why not turn them into a few pots of marmalade to save the flavours for later........here's a really good recipe from Martha Stewart.

Or just melt a few bars of chocolate, peel the oranges and dip away
........ salt crystals sprinkled on add a little extra something.....

Just a few ideas that caught my eye ......

Hope you all have a great start to you New Year.
Love Lizx
