Some of my favourites from 2014

Before we launch headlong into 2015 I thought I'd indulge myself and have look back at last year and pick out a few favourites....

So in no particular order here they are.....

Tomato Tabbouleh

tabbouleh

I made this tabbouleh to take to a friends birthday party barbecue - it's one of my favourite summer recipes and looking back at this post - on a wet and windy New Years day - I can remember the warm sun and the smell of the hot ripe tomatoes - I really enjoyed photographing this post...

Grilled Oyster...

 Oysters

Visiting the oyster beds in Northern Brittany was a definite highlight and walking around the hatchery to buy a box of oysters was a really treat (also finding out that oysters in France are much cheaper that here in the UK, especially bought directly from the hatchery!) - not to mention floating lazily through the rows of oyster nets......

Raspberry Eton Mess.....

 Rapberries

I just loved the look (and taste) of these scrumptious raspberries.......they photographed so well

A day at the Village Fete......

 Duck Day

Another highlight from last summer. We spent the afternoon at the village fete and duck race. A really old fashioned village get together with everyone there......

And last but by no means least a simple baked jacket potato......

 Jacket Pots

I wish I could have captured the smell of the hot steam as this potato was opened and the flavour of the hot butter and chives melting into the fluffy potato .......heaven.....

I hope you all have a peaceful and happy New Years Day

Love Liz x

And here's to 2015
