Four Seasons in One Day

It was a good day for weather watching yesterday - here in the west country - if you like variety!

Most of us woke up to a smattering of snow and then soon, full sunshine - it was beautiful blue sky's, snow and crispy cold .....my favorite!...................but by the middle of the afternoon the sky's had turned black, the rain started to fall and all the snow had melted......

We were back to that dreary winter feeling.....

And then the wind started to blow - and boy did it blow - bridges were closed, trees were blown over and it was all 'a little bit' scary - especially if you had to be out in it - luckily I wasn't and was able to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and read my book....

So this morning I decided to remember yesterday for the beautiful snowy part not the horrible storm it turned into and the resulting swollen river right outside the house (I'm hoping it doesn't rise any more or it will be in the garden!)

Not to be out-done in the photography stakes - Andrew stopped on his way to Bath yesterday morning to snap some pictures of the snow and the blue sky's......
I must admit they are quite good - but don't tell him I said that - he'll get ideas above his station!......

Have a good Thursday
