Albert

In the depths of last winter with a rare feeling of goodwill & kindness I offered to look after a work colleagues dog whilst she went to visit family in Canada.

Now, we have had lots of dogs in our family over the years but since our last dog died, about 3 years ago, I think I must have lost some energy! We've only had Albert to stay for two days but I'm absolutely shattered, completely cream crackered. He doesn't stop - at all - not even for one minute! He's up the stairs, down the stairs, in the kitchen, out the door, around the garden, barking at anyone & everyone he sees - he's having a great time - me I'm not so sure!

Last night, in an effort to wear him out before we went to bed, we went for a walk down by the river

It started off well - until he heard a duck!

I'll just leave you & go investigate that......

no it's gone - maybe time for a quick pose for the camera

Oh - is that the duck again?

you know I think it is.....

Yep - if I just creep up on him.....

No .... he's gone again!

Right - lets head off in this direction- forging through the under growth............

Forgoing the main path to make our own route.............

And because he's not my dog - I feel more of a responsibility to keep an eye on him - so I have to follow!!

3 weeks is going to be a long, long time........

                                        at least I'll be fitter!!.......
